ITAUMA, Nseobong Moses, FIPMA, FIOGR, MNIM, MANUPA
Mr. ITAUMA, Nseobong Moses is the incumbent and first indigenous, substantive Registrar of Crawford University.
Education
He holds a Masters Degree in Mass Communication and a B.Sc. (Hons.) Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, Yaba and the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos respectively.
Membership
In the professional parlance, Moses belongs to several Professional Associations in the country, namely: Member, Committee of Vice Chancellors & Registrars of Private Universities in Nigeria (CVCRPUN); Member, Association of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (ARNU); Fellow, Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (FIPMA); Fellow, Institute of Oil & Gas Research & Hydrocarbon Studies (FIOGR). He is also a Member of the Institute of Management (Chartered) (MNIM); Member, Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA); an Associate Member of the Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR); among others. He was the founding Chairman, ANUPA, Crawford University Chapter.
Experience
Prior to his appointment as Registrar, he was a Member of the Governing Council of Crawford University, representing the Congregation on that august body between 2019 and 2020. He has served in various capacities on several Boards and Committees. Moses is an astute and a consummate University Administrator, having served meritoriously in several Units in the University Registry, where he made impactful and useful contributions which culminated in the advancement and further development of the University. These include the Head, Governing Council & Board of Trustees (BoT) Unit; Head, Vice-Chancellor’s Office; Head, Academic Affairs Division; Head, General Administration; Students’ Admissions; Head, Senate & Ceremonies, etc. He received several awards and commendations from the Board and Governing Council for his sterling performance, hard work, dedication, resourcefulness and tenacity. He is a Consultant to Training Guide International (TGI), a Consortium of several reputable and accredited foreign universities. He has served as an External Expert on several Interview Panels for the appointment of Registrar(s) and other Senior Administrative Officers of some Nigerian universities. He has also been a Resource Person at various Trainings and Workshops. He has strong passion for excellence and professionalism in tertiary educational administration.
Moses is an exemplar for integrity; and enjoys mentoring and motivating colleagues which he does through rare exemplary leadership qualities and unparalleled administrative and Public Relations skills. His advocacy for positive change is legendary.
Moses’ hobbies include travelling, reading, listening to classical music, watching professional soccer, meeting with intelligent people, among others. He is happily married to Happiness; and the union is blessed with children.
